About BOPT (ER)

The Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region), BOPT(ER), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, implements The Apprenticeship Act 1961 and facilitates apprenticeship training through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) across eastern and north-eastern India.

BOPT(ER) bridges the gap between academic learning and industrial training, ensuring graduates and diploma holders become industry-ready professionals.

About NATS

The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) is a flagship programme under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, aimed at enhancing the employability of India’s youth by providing practical, on-the-job training in the industries. NATS is one of the largest skill development initiatives in the country, designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and Industrial requirements.

About the Competition

“BOPT(ER) Reelathon” is a creative initiative promoting NATS through short, engaging social media videos or Reels. It inspires individuals to creatively showcase the benefits of apprenticeship training.

The competition aims to make apprenticeship more relatable and impactful among youth, highlighting real journeys and success stories while expanding NATS awareness through digital and social platforms.

Rules and Regulations & Submission Guidelines

To uphold the dignity of BOPT(ER) and the Ministry of Education, all participants must adhere to the following conduct and submission rules.

Registration Details

  • No participation fee.
  • The Competition is open to all age groups.
  • Last date to submit: Will be announced soon.

Prizes and Recognition

  • The winner(s) will receive a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000 (One Lakh Rupee only)
  • All Participants will receive Certificate of Participation by BOPT(ER), Ministry of Education, Government of India.
  • Shortlisted Candidates will be felicitated during Regional Apprenticeship Day 2026.

Rules and Regulations

  • The competition is open to Indian citizens.
  • There is no entry fee to participate in the contest.
  • Participants can take part in the contest by registering on <<LINK>>.
  • All participants must ensure that their <<REELATHON>> profile is accurate and updated, since this profile shall be used for further communication.
  • Participant must upload their reel on Instagram, YouTube, Drive, or any other social media platform with public view access and share the link on the BOPT portal.
  • Reel should be of higher resolution. It must be original and not previously published on any public platform.
  • Link of the reel should be publicly accessible.
  • Submissions beyond the last date and time of submission shall not be considered.
  • The entry must not contain any provocative, objectionable, or inappropriate content.
  • The organizer has the right to cancel or amend all or any part of this Contest and/or the Terms & Conditions, Technical Parameters, or Evaluation Criteria.
  • The winners will be declared via winner announcement on https://www.bopter.gov.in/.
  • There will be no notification to participants of entries that are not selected as winners.
  • Organizers will not accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, late, or incomplete, or have not been transmitted due to computer error or any other error beyond the organizer’s reasonable control.
  • The organizers reserve the right to disqualify participants or discard entries if the information submitted is plagiarized, false, or erroneous.
  • Should any dispute or difference arise, the decision of the organizer shall be final and binding on both parties.
  • All disputes/legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Kolkata only. Expenses incurred for this purpose will be borne by the parties themselves.
  • By participating in the competition, the participants shall abide by all the terms and conditions of the competition, including any amendments or further updates.
  • The terms and conditions shall be governed by Indian laws and judgments of the Indian judicial system.
  • A participant can submit multiple reels.
  • Each reel (video) will be evaluated separately in case of multiple submissions.
  • The content must be original and should not infringe on any copyright or intellectual property rights.
  • Creatives must focus on the themes provided by BOPT(ER).
  • Any form of plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • All the content/creatives will be the copyright of BOPT(ER) and cannot be used for profit purposes post approval.
  • The decision of the judges will be final and binding. A committee at the appropriate level will be formed to evaluate and provide content approval before release.

Submission Guidelines

  • Participants must create original content (reel/video/short clips) on the NATS themes provided by BOPT(ER).
  • Single Individual / group of persons (not more than 3) is allowed to participate.
  • Participants are free to choose the language i.e. English, Hindi only.
  • The content (reel/video/short clips) must be between 30 seconds to 90 seconds in length.
  • The submission should be made via Google form / Registration form provided on BOPT(ER) website and available in BOPT(ER) Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Bio’s.
  • Participants must request for collaboration with the official Instagram and Facebook handles of @bopt.er and must also tag @bopt.er in YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.
  • Mandatory Hashtags to be added in the Content/Creatives: #BOPTER, #NATS, #Apprenticeship, #Skilldevelopment, #mygovofindia (Participants are free to use any relevant and appropriate hashtags).
  • The creatives should not contain any inappropriate content (offensive, political, discriminatory, misleading information about NATS or BOPT(ER) or Government entities). All the submissions will be reviewed before approval. In case the content is inappropriate or violates the laid down rules/guidelines, it may lead to legal action.
  • Participants must ensure that their content (reel/video/short clips) complies with all social media community guidelines and fulfills all the satisfactory compliance of prevailing Law of the country.

1. Who can participate, and how many people can be in a team?

Anyone can participate; there is no age limit. A team can have up to 3 members.

2. Is registration mandatory?

Yes, registration is compulsory for your reel to be evaluated for the competition.

3. What is the duration of the reel?

The reel should be ideally between 30 to 90 seconds.

4. Are there any themes available for the contest?

Yes, two new themes are announced every month. Reels developed based on these themes are valid only for that month.

5. How can I submit my reel?

Reels should be submitted on the BOPT(ER) website under the “Reelathon Section”. Participants must tag BOPT(ER) for collaboration on social media handles. To know more, check the BOPT(ER) Reelathon Guidelines (Link: ).

6. Do I need to use official hashtags and tags?

Yes, you must use the official hashtags and BOPT(ER) social media tags mentioned in the contest guidelines document, along with any other relevant tags of your choice that do not violate the guidelines.

7. Will BOPT(ER) edit or modify my reel after submission?

BOPT(ER) reserves the right to make edits or modifications for promotional or official purposes.

8. Can I use music, voiceover, or other effects?

Yes, you may use music, voiceovers, or other effects, as long as the content remains appropriate and aligned with the theme. Ensure that all content used complies with copyright laws.

9. Are there prizes or certificates?

Participants can win up to ₹1,00,000 and receive certificates of participation.

10. What is the last date to submit my reel?

The submission deadline will be mentioned in the official announcement guidelines.

11. Can I make the reel in a regional language?

No, reels can be made in Hindi, English, or a mix of both.

12. How many reels can I submit?

There is no limit; participants can upload multiple reels.
